A Conway Christmas

My friend Andrea has three adorable boys.  Last week, I was invited over to take some shots of the kids while they put up their Christmas Tree!

First, a bit of history...Andrea and I met 5 (wow) years ago.  We were both severely pregnant with our boys and at the end of our birthing class, the instructor offered for us to write our contact info on a sheet in the back of the room.  We did.  As other members of our class had their babies, the emails started to go around introducing our little bundles.  Andrea wrote hers and we connected after that.  Our boys love each other and we do too!  It is a great friendship that enjoy very much!  She can make me laugh and make me cry all within the same story!

So, my friend Andrea has three adorable boys now...Tristan (our birth class baby) and a set of super fun, growling, growing, hilarious twin boys Ian and Finn.

Tristan, 5

Finn, 2

Ian, 2

See, told ya they are so cute!  The really fun part about this shoot was that I got to sit back and watch another families traditions, hear about their ornaments, watch how they do things.  My favorite part was watching Tristans excitement with each ornament he pulled out of the box.  This one is a heavy favorite that Tristan remembered from last year and has been with Andrea since she was young..

It was fun to see that in every family there are memories, little trinkets that go up on our trees and memories that we relive each time we see them.

All 3 boys, helped decorate...

Only one liked to see how they tasted...

From my view, Tristan had two favorites; his little people nativity scene

AND....the Nutcrackers (which apparently kinda freak dad out -
and added to Tristans love for them)

There were lots of beautiful things laid out that day, but most of all there was lots of love, lots of laughs and great sense of family.

Merry Christmas, Conways!  Mwaaa!

A one-year photo shoot with precious Mackenzie!

You know those people in your life who love your kiddos as much as you do?  Welp, tonight I got to  photography my friend Krystal's second cousin, who is a huge part of her life and her heart!

It was really fun playing with sweet M, and didn't hurt that she is ADORABLE!

It was awesome to watch Krys with sweet M!  They are a huge part in each others lives and that is clear as day!

In a few weeks, baby M is moving away.  But, for her one year birthday, Krystal "babynapped" baby M and had a photo shoot for her momma!

I LOVE that idea!

Anyway, we got some fun shots and had a great time and lots of laughs!

Enjoy!

A is for Airport, another reason I love Photography!

One of the biggest reasons I have always loved photography is that, each picture, each moment in time and memory that is captured is different to each person.

Your photographs show who you are, what you love, how you spend your life.  Important things.

Yesterday, the kids and I got to go with my dad and nephew to his private hanger at an airport in Hudson, CO.

My family has always been into everything airplanes.  It all started with my grandpa Gerry.  He was an international commercial pilot for a living and had several "hobby" planes.  He even flew stunts for a while and competed in Osh Kosh and other world wide competitions.

My grandparents house growing up was (and still is) on a private airport community in Brighton.  While everyone else has a garage with cars, my grandpa had a hanger with planes inside.  I remember the first time my dad did a zero G with my brother and I inside, my stomach was in my throat and I laughed so hard!  The airshow coming up is an annual event as a family and this year will be extra special as one of my Grandpas old planes will be flying in the show!  I can still picture my all time favorite airplane, the one with Snoopy painted on the side!

Now, as my kids start to go to grandpas house and play in the hanger, get taken on private rides and find their own memories around Airplanes with my dad as their mentor.  Blake's first ride was at 9 weeks, Piper got her first yesterday!

About two years ago, dad bought a kit and started building a real airplane!  It is really coming along and has been a very fun project for him!  I can NOT wait until he is done and I get to see his vision.  We are already planning a celebration party as soon as it is completed!

My dad has also been very supportive of my photography as he, at one time, wanted to become a photographer.  He asked me to bring the camera and snap some shots of the kids and the planes.  We had a blast!  Here are a few of my favorite shots and a link to the rest...

Thanks for reading my story ;)

4 day old, Brooklyn Lisbeth Nettles

I am pretty sure I have the best job ever!  Yesterday, I had the opportunity to photograph 4 day old Brooklyn.  She was absolutely adorable with a capital A!  Her precious little lips and nose was so great for close ups!

Baby Brooklyn had some serious sleep dust but it made for absolutely precious, innocent shots of her!

One of my favorite parts of the session was when Daddy got some great ideas and pulled out some of their own props!

My, oh my what sweetness right?  Here are a few more that finished up our day.

It was the best little baby and the best set of parents I could have asked for.  What a fun way to capture these first few days!

F.A.Q.s
I shot most with my 18-55 mm lense for my nikonD5100, adding in some close ups with my  55-300mm.  Shoot took an hour and that allowed time for baby to nurse.  Clients chose package with high res prints on disc so they can choose prints and sizes themselves.
